Everett S. Kaneshige is the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Marketing and Development and in-house legal counsel for Monarch Properties Inc. He is responsible for the implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the company and directs the company’s marketing, technology and property management activities. He also manages the Pre-Transaction Division of the company’s Leased Fee Services.
Background: Everett was previously the President and CEO of Pocket Real Estate, a company he co-founded which created the concept of accessing Multiple Listing Service data via mobile devices, developed the products necessary to implement this concept, and built a marketing, sales and support network for these products in the U.S.A. and Canada. During that time, he was named one of the Top 50 Leaders in Technology in the state of Hawaii in 2003, received the Targeted Industry Growth award by City Bank for software companies in 2002 and was a speaker on high technology topics at the National Association of Realtors and the Council of MLS conferences. Pocket Real Estate was later named one the "Top 10 Must Have Products in the Real Estate Industry" and was endorsed by the Council of Residential Specialists and was added to the curriculum of the e-Pro program for the National Association of Realtors.
Prior to that, Everett was a partner, shareholder and director of Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing, Attorneys at Law, where his practice involved representing clients in various real estate, telecommunications and business matters. He served as a faculty member for various seminars covering real estate law and was the primary author for his law firm in Telecommunications in Hawaii: Policy, Economics and the Changing Industry, a report issued by Legislative Auditor of the State of Hawaii, in January 1989. Prior to joining the law firm, Everett was a Deputy Attorney General with the State of Hawaii where he provided legal representation for the state’s high technology and business promotion programs and agencies. Everett is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
